What is a home inspection?

A home inspection is a limited, non-invasive examination of the condition of a home. As a New York State licensed home inspector I will provide you with a thorough and objective written report about the current condition of your prospective future home. This valued information will allow you to make more informed decisions about your pending Real Estate purchase.

During this process I will visually examine the home’s major structures including, but not limited to, the:

  • exterior
  • roof and attic
  • basement and/or crawl space
  • foundation
western new york roof inspection certification
western new york exterior home inspection certification
western new york plumbing inspection certification
western new york mold inspection certification
western new york hvac inspection certification
western new york wood rot inspection certification

I will also do a detailed inspection of systems and components including:

  • plumbing
  • electrical
  • heating and cooling
  • insulation
  • ventilation
  • doors
  • windows
  • walls
  • ceilings

Throughout the inspection, I look for defects and deficiencies, improper building practices, items that may require extensive repair, general maintenance issues, and some fire and safety issues.

While it’s not a requirement, it is a great idea to follow along with Dan as he inspects the property. Dan will be examining the home from top to bottom and this is the perfect time to ask questions!

While we provide an excellent report there is nothing quite the same as gaining hands-on experience with the  property in order to gain insight into the condition of the home. What we know from our experience is that every house will need some work. Some have minor defects, while others have more significant problems that may need to be fixed before you move in.

Flexible Options!

I offer various types of inspections and add-ons to meet all your individual needs.
